So you have met or gotten introduced to someone really amazing and also managed to get their number! You call and get lucky once again by getting yourself a date! You are brimming with exuberance. You think, “This has to be perfect…” You even know what you will be wearing but where you will be going and what you will be doing is still a bridge uncrossed…
To help you out, here are a few suggestions where to take her out along with Yay’s and Nay’s so that your first date with this gorgeous someone be the closest to perfect…
Yay’s:
Every city has a decent amount of outdoor art fairs, cultural exhibitions and art museums. There are also these usual weekly or monthly grand exhibitions, which encompass great food, colorful dresses and scarves, artsy souvenirs, paintings and the like. These fairs could be a wonderful and unique destination you could take your date to. You both can eat, hang out and you could pick up something she likes. Roaming around those colorful streets, you both can share your opinions about the place, what you like, etc. Just look up the local newspaper or the internet for these events and you are sure to have a great fun time together.
New restaurants –
New restaurants keep springing up almost everyday. The best option is taking her out on a meal to a place she has not been to before. Be sure to ask her in advance about the kind of food she absolutely loves or absolutely detests… Then, look out for new (or even old) hidden restaurants that could be a good place to have a nice chat and meal. No, the new burger and fries joint does not qualify! Look for something not too shabby and not too pricey.
If you are a little apprehensive about trying out new things, stick to the old tried and tested restaurants. After all, you do run the risk of having a conventional, mediocre experience even with a new place!
Obvious reminder: Pick up the bill!
Woody woody-
How about a nice picnic in the woods? It can be cool and original. Pack up a nice lunch bag with sandwiches or burgers and a couple cans of juice. Just make sure you are not sitting near a mosquito infested creek cuz it won’t exactly be romantic seeing yourself and your date slapping your hands and legs each time a mosquito makes a move! Make sure to let your date know in advance, where you are going so that she dresses appropriately. If you do not have woods anywhere nearby, you can do this same thing in a nice green park!
Nay’s:
Never ever, take your date out to a bar or a pub. There is nothing fun about a smoky environment, blaring music and crowded place filled with people wanting to make a move at someone or the other! Besides, you don’t want to be yelling on top of your voice every time you want to tell her something!
Your local hangout-
Never choose your local hang out joint to meet your date. These places often pose the risk of you bumping into your buddies and acquaintances repeatedly and you don’t want your date getting bored while you talk to a friend each time he/she pops up. These places also have a too casual feel to themselves. Face it, you meet your friends here, not your dates…
Not too sporty-
Avoid sports on your first dates. Of course, you like to watch baseball and rugby games with the one you like but this is definitely not ideal on your first date. You need to talk and make conversation, not bellow and cheer!
Music Concerts-
Even if you are a die-hard fan of Simple plan or Metallica, music concerts are a total no-no on your first date. All the shouting and ranting of lyrics, elbow in the ribs and long lines for the stinking bathrooms are neither amusing nor attractive! You have your best friend for such occasions, not your date!
Parties-
Parties thrown by your friends maybe fun but are not the least romantic. You will be constantly obliged to introduce your date to each person present in the party and will never be able to have a decent conversation around your drunk friends and blaring music. Your date might also end up feeling out of place…
